  • feeling numb, irritable, angry, tense, and anxious, possibly including panic attacks

  • Wanting to avoid thoughts, feelings, or reminders associated with the event

  • Being on-guard and easily startled, and inability to sleep even when the baby sleeps

  • Reliving some parts of your experience and unable to shake what happened, or

  • Having nightmares or flashbacks of the experience
